E-mail > Email disconnects
My modem disconnects in the middle of receiving a large email

There can be a few reasons why a modem may disconnect from the Internet while receiving a large email message. If it disconnects in exactly the same point in the same email, you will need to update your modem drivers. The email in question probably contains an escape sequence or characters (typically +++) that you modem interprets as a disconnect command. The updated modem drivers will probably include the correct AT modem command that disables this feature during downloads.

If it is random but frequently in big files it is a symptom of a bad modem. You can try one of our free test modems to see if that will resolve your issue.
