E-mail > USFamily.Net Port 25 Blocking
How will blocking outbound port 25 help prevent the spread of spam?

Good question! A lot of spam these days is actually generated by personal computers, almost always unknown to their users. Many of the current viruses and worms are 'advertising robots' that spew out hundreds and even thousands of spam e-mails every day. By blocking outbound port 25 for all computers except our own e-mail servers, we can be almost 100% sure that only legitimate e-mail is leaving our network.
