Support > Update DNS Information to DHCP - PREFERRED

  • Go to the Start Menu
  • Select Settings
  • Select Control Panel
  • Double Click on Network
  • Select the TCP/IP -> Ethernet Adapter from the list of installed components Click on Properties
  • none;On the tab labeled IP address, make sure it's set to Obtain an IP address automatically
  • none;Select the tab labeled Gateway
  • none;Remove any listed gateways on this page
  • none;Click on the tab labeled DNS Configuration
  • none;Select Disable DNS at the top of this page
  • none;Click on OK to close TCP/IP Properties
  • none;Click on OK to close the Network window
  • none;Insert the Windows installation CD when prompted; If you do not have the windows installation CD (or cannot find it), some hardware vendors installed the needed files one of the following folders "C:windowsinf", "C:windowsoptionscabs" or sometimes "C:winntinf"
