Updating Win xp to new DNS addresses

  • Click on the Start menu
  • Click on Run
  • In the Run window, type in ncpa.cpl and click on OK
  • Right-click on Local Area Connection, and select Properties from the menu
  • Select Internet Protocol from the list, then click on Properties
  • Remove the numbers from the Preffered and Alternate DNS server fields
  • Enter 64.131.63.8 for Preffered DNS server
  • Enter 64.131.63.159 for the Alternate DNS server
  • Click on OK to close the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window
  • Click on OK or Close to close the Local Area Connection Properties Window
