E-mail > IMAP Email - Client Setup (IMAP requires administrative setup - please call to confirm)
Windows Outlook Setup

  • Caution: Certain versions of Outlook have problems with IMAP that cause them to randomly generate duplicate copies of emails. This has especially been a problem with Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013.
  • It may be possible to upgrade (or even downgrade) Outlook 2013 to another version that does not suffer from the IMAP problems. Alternatively, one can set Outlook to use POP3, use an alternative email program like Thunderbird, or simply access the mailbox via webmail.
  • Check Manually setup or additional server types
  • Select POP or IMAP
  • Click Next
  • Your Name: YourName
  • E-mail Address: YourAddress@Example.com
  • Account Type: IMAP
  • Incoming mail server: mail.usgo.net
  • Outgoing mail server: mail.usgo.net
  • User Name: YourAddress@Example.com
  • Password: YourPassword
  • Click "More Settings ..."
  • Click Outgoing Server
  • Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
  • Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
  • Click Advanced
  • Incoming server (IMAP): 993
  • Use the following type of encrypted connections: SSL
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
  • Use the following type of encrypted connections: SSL
  • Click Ok
  • Click Next
  • Click Close
  • Click Finish
